‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ is currently setting records at the box office. It has been one of the most awaited movies from Marvel as it has teased the fans for a long time. The Taika Waititi masterpiece is bringing back a bunch of characters from previous MCU projects. That includes Guardians of the Galaxy and Valkyrie played by Tessa Thompson.
In most cases, popular Marvel characters get to be starred in their own spin-off. So the fans are anticipating if Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie will get her own Disney+ show. During an interview, Tessa opened up about this issue.

Tessa Thompson Is Optimistic For A Valkyrie Spin-off
‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ teasers and the trailers have quite frankly made the fans way too eager that they can’t wait to watch Valkyrie on the throne of Asgard but the demand doesn’t end there. Valkyrie spin-off is what the fans are hoping for from Marvel Cinematic Universe. During a new interview with Extra, the actress dropped some hints that a spin-off was a possibility.
“I don’t know,” Thompson told Extra. “I love playing the character so any chance I get to play her in any form, I’m happy to.”
Thompson also opened up about how Valkyrie’s sexuality which is a big issue, impacts the entire storyline of the movie.
“It becomes the only storyline, particularly in a movie like this, where you don’t, frankly, have a lot of room for storyline,” Thompson said. “So there was a lot of conversation in terms of how to treat that with Valkyrie. And I feel really good, personally, about where we got to.”
She continued, “I hope that she’s a character that fans continue to connect to, that we have a lot of time to explore her, in all of her humanity. But whether or not she finds love in this movie doesn’t mean she’s not still a fabulous queer character that is open to finding love when it makes sense.”
‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ Brings Back Original Cast With Some New Addition
‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ doesn’t really need any introduction. The Taika Waititi directed masterpiece has Hemsworth as the titular character Thor. Although Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor will snatch both the magical Mjolnir and the limelight from Chris.
The movie will also cast Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Russell Crowe as Zeus, Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star Lord, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, and Karen Gillan as Nebula. Last but not the least, the movie will also feature one of the scariest villains of all times: Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher.
