“There’s A Lot Of Opportunity Here”: Reddit CEO Steve Huffman Praises Elon Musk’s Radical Business Model For Twitter

Elon Musk has found an ally in Reddit CEO Steve Huffman. The former Twitter CEO hasn’t had a moment’s rest since acquiring the microblogging platform in November 2022. Be it the massive layoffs or the issues with content moderation, Musk doesn’t seem to get anything right.

But according to Steve Huffman, CEOs could learn a thing or two from Elon Musk. He has applauded the radical paradigm shift Musk has brought to Twitter. It’s a cutthroat world, and Huffman believes Musk’s ability to take risks is something he sees himself doing for Reddit amidst user protests.

He has applauded Musk’s cost-cutting measures, pointing to the firing of 200 employees.

Steve Hoffman told the news outlet, “Long story short, my takeaway from Twitter and Elon at Twitter is reaffirming that we can build a really good business in this space at our scale. Now, they’ve taken the dramatic road, and I guess I can’t sit here and say that we’re not either, but I think there’s a lot of opportunity here.”

In addition, the ex-Twitter CEO is bringing more features to make the platform more user-friendly. We’ll soon see the picture-in-picture mode and fifteen-second rewind and forward button. For its Twitter Blue users, he has introduced the long-form video that allows them to upload videos up to 8GB of data.
