She Ping aka ‘beekeeper’ holds the record of covering his body with 73 pounds of bees. But, people have gone pretty far, unknowingly, like the man Amou Haji.
Amou Haji held the record of ‘world’s dirtiest man’ alive. He had not bathed for more than six decades. Ironically, a few months ago he took a bath, but unfortunately, Amou has now been reported. As per the IRNA news agency, Haji died in Dejah on Sunday, October 23, 2022. So, how did man become the most unhygienic person on the face of the earth?

Amou Haji Did Not Bathe For Almost 70 Years
The Iranian man came to notice when he was seen smoking a bundle of cigarettes, and animal waste using plumbing tools. On Sunday, he died at his residence. The reports came out on Tuesday about his death. Different reports speculated different reasons for the man not bathing for almost 70 years. The Guardian reported that as per locals, he did not take a bath for this long due to “emotional setbacks in the youth.” But, the most prominent reason was that he was afraid to get sick if he used soap and water.
After surviving more than a century without any contact with water to his body, he died at the age of 94. The village people took the man “to a bathroom for a wash.” As reported, “Not long after, he fell ill and finally, on Sunday… he gave up his life.” Haji survived by eating the meat of rotten, dead animals and porcupine meat. He drank liters of water from a dirty bucket. Earlier this year, physicians from the capital city of Tehran deemed him to be a healthy person despite his uncanny lifestyle.

Kailash Kalau Singh From India May Take His Place As ‘World’s Dirtiest Man’
A man from the holy city of Varanasi in India, Kailash ‘Kalau’ Singh has not taken a bath for 47 years now. He has cited the reason for not bathing for so long and it is patriarchal! Since 1974, the man has not taken a bath leading to a shabbily grown beard and dreadlocks. It was a priest who told him that if he would avoid bathing, God would give him a son. At the age of 76 with seven daughters, he still does not have a son.
Kailash is ardent that a son will only change his mind. But, the family and neighbors suffer from the consequences of his vow. Amou Haji was a recluse, but Singh lives with a family and in mainstream society. The tropical weather of Northern India makes it difficult not to sweat profusely. However, the man found an alternative to bathing. He does something called “fire bathing”. The bathing regime includes smoking marijuana, worshipping shiva, and dancing around a bonfire.
