Brian Cox is an industry veteran who has been acting for almost six decades. The 76-year-old performer is the recipient of two Olivier Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Golden Globe Award. In recent years, Cox is known for playing the role of a media mogul in HBO’s ‘Succession.’
The satirical drama won three awards, including the Best Drama, at the recently held Primetime Emmy Awards. But every good thing must come to an end, that’s what Cox believes in. He doesn’t want the show to overstay its welcome as he gears up for the fourth season.

Brian Cox Doesn’t Want ‘Succession’ To Overstay Its Welcome
HBO’s ‘Succession‘ reigned this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards with three major wins including the best drama. So the expectations for the fourth season are sky high.
But Brian Cox, who plays the media mogul Logan Roy in the show, has expressed his feelings about a show overstaying its welcome. He talked about it in an interview with The Times.
“I don’t know [if there will be a fifth season]. No one’s had their contracts renewed,” he said. “Who knows how long it will go on? We don’t want it to overstay its welcome, like ‘Billions’; that’s past its sell-by date. That will not happen with our show.”
Cox was referring to Showtime’s ‘Billions,’ which chronicles a ruthless hedge fund manager. Earlier this year, the show was renewed for a seventh season.

‘Succession’ Creator Takes A Dig At King Charles
‘Succession’ won the Best Drama Series Award at the recently held Primetime Emmy Awards. While accepting the honor, the creator of the show Jesse Armstrong took a dig at King Charles III in his speech.
Jesse first hinted at King Charles by saying “big for successions in the UK”, after the ascension of Charles as King after the demise of Queen Elizabeth II.
He then said, “Evidently, a bit more voting involved in our winning than Prince Charles. I’m not saying we’re more legitimate than that position we’ll leave that to other people.” We are incredibly grateful to have this wonderful honor.”
Cox then added, “Keep it royalist, keep it royalist.” This roast divided people on the internet with several calling it distasteful while others praised their humor.
