Starting from stylish cars and brutal action sequences, the ‘Fast & Furious‘ franchise has offered the best popcorn entertainment for audiences in all these years. Universal and Vin Diesel have been a part of the franchise ever since the first film was released back in 2001. Nine films have been released so far alongside a spin-off focusing on two characters.
While the latest film, ‘F9’, came out in 2021 and was a box office success, the producers announced that the franchise will be ending with a 10th and 11th film. This is definitely bad news for all those who have showered the franchise with their love and support. While the poster of ‘Fast X’ features the words “The end of the road begins”, let’s check why the franchise has decided to wrap up everything.

Why The End Of The Road Has Come For ‘Fast & Furious’ Franchise
The major reason behind the decision to end the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise is that things are getting stretched with time. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster have continued to reprise their roles for around 20 years and Diesel’s character Dominic Toretto is getting involved in action sequences that are no more believable.
Meanwhile, Vin Diesel has promised a real finale to the fans of the franchise. He added that the fans of the main Fast Saga movies deserve to witness a perfect conclusion. He mentioned that every good story needs an ending and that the finale of ‘Fast & Furious’ will be similar to what happened in ‘Avengers: Endgame.’
Moreover, the ninth film grossed $700 million at the box office which was less compared to the previous two films that touched the mark of $1 billion. This could be a sign that audiences are slowly losing their interest in the franchise and the announcement of ending the franchise could work as a perfect factor in increasing the box office collections of the upcoming tenth film.
