Why King Charles Banned Meghan Markle?
The Duchess of Sussex was banned by King Charles III from attending a royal grieving dinner with the family on the day Queen Elizabeth II passed away. It’s another sign of the disdain the royals have for Meghan.
The former actress has been open about the treatment she received from the royals due to her being a mixed-race woman. She said that her children would be treated differently by them if she and her husband Prince Harry had decided to stay with the royals.
They stepped down from their royal duties in January 2020 and shifted to the United States. This move apparently upset several members of the family including the late Queen and the now king Charles.
Since then, Meghan has been almost outcasted by the royals. However, Harry has been by her side through thick and thin. They gave a bombshell interview last year with Oprah Winfrey where they opened up about their issues.
Is Prince Harry Also Banned By The Monarch?
Prince Harry decided to boycott the royal dinner with King Charles III and his brother the Prince of Wales at Balmoral after Meghan was banned from the dinner. He preferred to eat with the Duke of York and the Earl and Countess of Wessex before leaving early the next morning.
Reports suggest that the new monarch called his youngest son and told him it was “not appropriate” for the former ‘Suits‘ actress to be there.
In his attempt to persuade his father to allow Meghan to come with him, he missed a flight carrying William, Andrew, and Edward to Scotland.
The Dutch of Sussex has not been banned by the new King but he is not an active member of the Royal family due to his 2020 decision.
