Tucker Carlson Ousted From Fox News
On Monday, Fox News Media announced the departure of their key news anchor Tucker Carlson. He hosted his last ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ episode on Friday, April 21.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the company said in a statement: “Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”
The company has said that several guests will be hosting the eight pm show on the channel until a replacement for Carlson is found. Brian Kilmeade served as the anchor for the Monday night show.

Why Was He Fired?
Less than a week ago, Fox Corp (the parent company of Fox News) had to pay $787.5 million in the Dominion lawsuit. The suit stems from the false reporting on the 2020 Presidential elections which the channel called “rigged.”
The Dominion Voting Systems stated in their lawsuit that Carlson propagated election-fraud claims regarding the firm. However, in private chats, he expressed his doubts about the plausibility of these claims.
In one of the leaked chats, Carlson also claimed that he “passionately” hates Donald Trump. This is in contrast with his public views on the former President.
Carlson is also a part of another lawsuit filed by Abby Grossberg, his former head of booking. Grossberg said that the channel coerced her testimony in the Dominion lawsuit. She has also stated that the work environment under Carlson was “sexist.”
