In an interview with ComicBook.com, Patrick Stewart was quite honest about the chances of his return. The British actor disclosed that “I’ve been told to stand by. I know nothing more than that, honest.”
Sir Patrick Stewart is a long-standing member of the X-Men movies. He has portrayed Charles Xavier/Professor X in ‘X-Men,’ ‘X2: X-Men United’, ‘X-Men: The Last Stand,’ ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine,’ ‘The Wolverine,’ ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past,’ and ‘Logan.’
‘Logan‘ was considered the swan song for Stewart’s character. However, he appears again as a member of the Illuminati on Earth-838 for ‘Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.’ Patrick Stewart dies in the ‘Doctor Strange‘ sequel, but establishing a multiverse means he could be alive in another timeline. Jackman himself confirmed the movie takes place before the events of ‘Logan.’
