We’re just a few months away from the presidential elections and the political drama in the nation is heating up each passing day. Donald Trump, who was at the top of his game while slamming his rival Joe Biden, is now seemingly falling short of coming up with issues to raise against his fresh opponent Kamala Harris.
Harris took charge after Biden stepped down from the race, though an official announcement about her entering the race is still awaited. However, the attacks Republicans have been launching at her have been conspicuous. In a series of racist and sexist remarks, Donald Trump recently spoke about Harris being black in a demeaning tone, and the Vice President has a fitting response.

Kamala Harris Boldly Refutes Donald Trump’s Problematic Remarks
Kamala Harris has been the target of several racist and sexist comments since she stepped up as the potential presidential candidate to compete against Donald Trump. Though she kept quiet for a while, she is speaking up now.
At a recent rally in Texas, Harris dismissed Donald Trump’s recent remarks questioning her racial identity, and also labeled them as “the same old show“. She also asserted that “America deserves better” than a man using race to target the opponent. At the event held in Houston at the Sigma Gamma Rho’s 60th International Biennial Boulé, Harris addressed the crowd of enthusiastic supporters with sharp words against Trump.
Referring to Trump’s racist comments made on the same day, Harris said, “This afternoon, Donald Trump spoke at the annual meeting of the National Association of Black Journalists,” as the audience booed.
“And it was the same old show: the divisiveness and the disrespect. And let me just say, the American people deserve better. The American people deserve a leader who tells the truth. A leader who does not respond with hostility and anger when confronted with the facts. We deserve a leader who understands that our differences do not divide us – they are an essential source of our strength,” the Vice President added.

What Did Donald Trump Say About Kamal Harris?
Earlier the same day, Donald Trump, while speaking at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), sparked controversy by questioning Harris’s race. “She was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago, when she happened to turn Black,” Trump said, drawing confusion.
After the remark, his interview was notably cut short within 34 minutes, while it was expected to last an hour. At a Pennsylvania rally, he further disparaged Harris, suggesting she underwent a “personality makeover“. He also mocked her by comparing her newfound political status to that of Margaret Thatcher. It took no time for people to criticize the comments as highly racist.
Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff, also responded to Trump’s jabs, describing them as a reflection of a “worse version of an already horrible person.” He also asserted that Trump lacks character, and “should never be near the White House again.”
