The Presidential elections drama took a rather expected turn after Joe Biden bowed out of the race on Sunday while endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as the next presidential candidate for the Democratic Party. While many may have seen the decision coming because of the immense internal pressure in the party, many others are still shocked by the decision.
Joe Biden’s old age and his frequent blunders while speaking publicly had led to widespread demands from citizens as well as influential people asking for his removal as a candidate. As Kamala Harris took charge, she promised to unite the Democratic Party and beat the rival leader Donald Trump, who she said has propagated extreme agendas. As the race got interesting with this twist, here’s how various celebrities reacted.

Hollywood Has Been Involved With Politics Even Before Joe Biden Bowed Out Of The Race
Even before his decision to opt out of the race, the acting industry has been quite involved in national politics ahead of the presidential elections. George Clooney had written a New York Times op-ed urging Biden to step aside. Clooney argued that choosing a new nominee would be “messy” but it would definitely energize voters in the party’s favor.
Just days before that, Clooney made it to the headlines for a record-breaking fundraiser for Biden’s reelection campaign in Los Angeles. The event was star-studded with many including Julia Roberts, Jimmy Kimmel, former President Barack Obama, Jack Black, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Kathryn Hahn, and Jason Bateman marking their attendance.
Apart from supporting Joe Biden, many celebrities including Jimmy Kimmel and Robert De Niro have actively trashed Donald Trump, the Republican candidate, as the wrong person to run the country. Now with Biden bowing out, many celebrities paid tribute to his presidency, while others speculated about the future.
