Keanu Reeves Almost Joined The Force In ‘The Acolyte’ As Jedi Master Sol

The ‘Star Wars‘ universe almost welcomed a legendary figure to its ranks with ‘The Acolyte.’ According to Jeff Sneider, Keanu Reeves was initially slated to portray Jedi Master Sol in the recently canceled series.

Additionally, the news was both shocking and exciting for ‘Star Wars’ fans. Keanu is known for making the most out of every role and his joining the show might have been the turning point.

The news has come as a shock to many fans who had eagerly anticipated seeing Reeves in a galaxy far, far away. His undeniable charisma and action-packed performances have made him a beloved figure in Hollywood. Moreover, his presence in Star Wars would have undoubtedly electrified the series.

However, due to scheduling conflicts, Reeves was unable to take on the role. Additionally, while Reeves may not have been able to join ‘The Acolyte,’ Lucasfilm is reportedly keen on bringing him into the Star Wars universe in a future project. This news has ignited speculation among fans. Moreover, many hope to see Reeves take on the role of a Jedi Master, a Sith Lord, or perhaps even a bounty hunter.

Lee Jung-Jae Is Disappointed Over ‘The Acolyte’ Cancellation

The role of Jedi Master Sol ultimately went to Lee Jung-Jae, the Squid Game star who delivered a powerful performance in the series. Recently, Lee also spoke out about his disappointment with the show’s sudden cancellation while talking to EW. Despite a lot of Star Wars fans not being happy with the show, Lee saw a lot of potential in Headland’s vision. 

Additionally, fans and Lee both wanted to see the show finish the several arcs it started. Additionally, ‘The Acolyte‘ introduced several new characters with a lot of potential. However, the Squid Game star still hasn’t given up hope and believes that the show’s fate might change. Moreover, even fans of the show have started a petition for a second season two which is rapidly gaining traction
