Elon Musk is already facing hardships trying to resuscitate Twitter and make it financially viable. Since he purchased the platform in October 2022, he has been facing a lot of hurdles. After the acquisition, the platform lost the majority of advertisers, affecting the advertising revenue. On the other hand, Musk is also inundated with lawsuits regarding non-payment of outstanding debt.
As per a report from ‘The Wall Street Journal,’ Elon Musk has $14 million worth of lawsuits pending from landlords and other vendors. The billionaire is facing the shutdown of many offices due to non-payment of rent. An affiliate at 1330 Broadway has sued the company for $1.3 million for paying the rent of his Oakland office since November 2022. Now, an Australian project management company has sued Twitter for not paying the outstanding dues.

Elon Musk Is Limiting Post Viewing For The Users
In a new move, Elon Musk has decided to limit post-viewing for both verified and unverified users. On July 1, 2023, he announced the decision on Twitter. The reason was to limit the data extraction by computing programs. He wrote, “To address extreme levels of data scraping and system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits.”
Elon Musk decided to have a 6,000-post limit per day for verified users and 600 posts per day for unverified users. Later, he increased the limit to 10,000 posts per day and 1,000 posts per day, respectively. Before this, he blocked access to the platform without logging in. He opined, “Several hundred organizations (maybe more) were scraping Twitter data extremely aggressively, to the point where it was affecting the real user experience.”
