Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle excited the royal family, they have been creating buzz with their statements and content pieces. After the referendum, they shifted to the USA. The couple signed several multi-million-dollar deals with media giants, including Netflix and Spotify. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex put out their first project with Netflix titled ‘Harry & Meghan,’ followed by Harry’s memoir ‘Spare.’
Prince Harry released ‘Spare’ in January 2023. The memoir contained some intimate details about Harry’s experience in the royal family. Apart from the royal family, he talked about his personal life and relationships, drugs, and his stint in the military. While talking about his days in the military, he boasted about killing 25 Taliban members, which caught the ire of the veterans and the terrorist organization itself. To retaliate, a political artist, Andrei Molodkin, created blood-soaked copies of his memoir with the actual blood of Afghans, which are selling for $10,000 for each copy.

Prince Harry’s memoir ‘Spare’ has disturbed the royal family deeply due to its villainization of them. Harry did not leave any stone unturned to give away every intimate detail of his private life, defeating the purpose of protecting it from public scrutiny. But one of the most controversial statements in the memoir was bragging about killing 25 Taliban soldiers and calling them “chess pieces.”
Prince Harry wrote, “While in the heat and fog of combat, I didn’t think of those 25 as people. You can’t kill people if you think of them as people. You can’t really harm people if you think of them as people. They were chess pieces removed from the board, Bads taken away before they could kill Goods.”
Andrei Molodkin, an anti-war artist, protested against the Duke‘s statement about the Taliban. So, as part of his project ‘Blood Money,’ he created blood-soaked copies of ‘Spare.’ He decided to display one of the copies at St. Paul Cathedral. He said, “Prince Harry boasts of killing Taliban like they’re baddies in a video game, ‘otherising’ human life, then cashing in on the sorry tale to sell books about his drug binging, sexual exploits, and killing conquests.”

The Artist Will Also Protest At The Coronation Of King Charles III
Andrei Molodkin has created 25 blood-drenched copies of ‘Spare.’ As per the spokesperson for the artist, they have sold seven copies of the book already, collecting $70,000. The copies are displayed at Kennington in London. Andrei is planning to stage a protest at King Charles III’s coronation on May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey.
Fabien Nordmann, an admirer of Molodkin’s work, talked to Sky News about paying more than the price to grab the first editions of the copies. Nordmann said, “He’s a visionary. He told me the price was $10,000, and I said, ‘What about to get the number 1 or 2?'” Fabien added that Andrei’s artwork was shocking but not more shocking than Prince Harry’s actual remark.
