In the first episode of Netflix’s docu-series ‘Harry & Meghan‘, Harry revealed that he saw Meghan for the first time in an Instagram post on one of his friend’s accounts in 2016.
“Meghan and I met over Instagram. I was scrolling through my feed, and someone who was a friend had this video of the two of them, it was like a Snapchat.” the Prince said. Meghan added, “That whole thing, the dog ears. That’s what he saw of me.” “But even through that puppy filter. That was the first thing, I was like, ‘Who is that?‘”, he said.
The two then contacted each other via mutual friends and went on their first date at the Soho House in London. Since Harry was late, Meghan assumed that he was “one of the guys with so much of an ego that any girl would sit around and wait for a half hour for you.” However, Harry arrived and was “genuinely so embarrassed” about being late.

Harry Said Meghan Has Traits Of Princess Diana
In the same episode, the Duke of Sussex said he realized Meghan was the one for him as she had traits of his late mother, Princess Diana. “So much of what Meghan is, and how she is, is so similar to my mom,” he said.
He further added, “She has the same compassion, she has the same empathy, she has the same confidence. She has this warmth about her.”
Harry also talked about the media frenzy surrounding them was similar to his mom’s. He said that it was the reason why he would fear for Meghan and leave the United Kingdom.
