    King Charles Makes Public Statement After Cancer Diagnosis

    It’s been a tragic few weeks for the British as King Charles has fallen sick and seems to be seriously illl. The King got diagnosed for cancer and is currently at Sandringham undergoing treatment.

    As a gesture of gratitude, King Charles made a public statement thanking the public for their support and talking about his own medical condition. Read on to read his statement.

    The Buckingham Palace announced that the King is diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer and is taking a rest from all public duties as he undergoes treatment.

    The King was admitted to a hospital in London for an enlarged prostate and his cancer was revealed. As of now, his Highness has been advised to rest, while he continues to fulfil paperwork and state duties.

    Prince William and Queen Consort Camilla is carrying out royal duties to help the King.

    The 75 year old monarch is now residing at Sandringham.

    Talking about the support the Royal Family is getting from everyone, the Queen said that Charles was “very touched by all the letters and messages the public have been sending from everywhere”. She admitted that the support was “very cheering”.

    For the first time after the announcement, Charles made a public announcement and was also seen going to church with his wife.

    His Royal Highness made a statement to thank all his supporters through his illness.

    Posted by the official Royal Family website, he wrote: “I would like to express my most heartfelt thanks for the many messages of support and good wishes I have received in recent days”.

    Continuing, he wrote, “As all those who have been affected by cancer will know, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement”.

    “It is equally heartening to hear how sharing my own diagnosis has helped promote public understanding and shine a light on the work of all those organisations which support cancer patients and their families across the UK and wider world. My lifelong admiration for their tireless care and dedication is all the greater as a result of my own personal experience”.

    The King was also seen taking a stroll to church with Camilla. This marked his first outing ever since his cancer diagnosis.
