    King Charles Reacts To Meghan Markle Not Attending Royal Coronation

    King Charles ascended to the throne in 2022 after the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II. He will officially become the king of the UK and other commonwealth realms after the coronation ceremony which will take place on May 6. His son Prince Harry will also attend the event.

    However, Harry’s wife Meghan Markle has decided to stay in California with her children to avoid any drama at the event. Recent media reports have stated that Charles has responded to the Duchess of Sussex skipping the coronation. So let’s find out what he said about his daughter-in-law.

    According to The Sun, King Charles is “very disappointed” that Meghan Markle and his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will not be attending his coronation ceremony.

    A source close to the royal family said that Charles is happy about Prince Harry attending the event. “The king is happy that Harry, his son, who he calls his ‘darling boy,’ will be at the Abbey. He wanted him there,” they said.

    The source added, “It is sad, he is very disappointed that he won’t see Meghan or his grandchildren but understands the situation.” Markle will be celebrating the fourth birthday of Prince Archie will is also on May 6.

    Prince Harry Will Be Going Solo To Attend The Coronation

    On Wednesday, Buckingham Palace issued a statement, announcing the arrival of Prince Harry at the event, ending months-long speculations. “Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that the Duke of Sussex will attend the coronation service at Westminster Abbey on May 6,” it said.

    Further adding, “The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.” Earlier, it was reported that Harry and Meghan’s children were not invited to the event.

    This did not go well with the couple after which Meghan decided to skip the coronation. Last month, the couple was evicted from the Frogmore Cottage by Charles because of Harry’s memoir, ‘Spare.’
