Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were living in Frogmore Cottage before shifting to the United States. The late Queen Elizabeth II gifted the Frogmore property to the couple in 2018. The property remained in controversy for utilizing taxpayers’ money to carry out the renovations. The speculation went wild after Harry’s ‘Spare’ that the couple had to vacate the property. King Charles III has announced budget cuts from the Sovereign grant. So, as it is difficult to maintain such a lavish property, Harry and Meghan have vacated it.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Vacate The Property Due To Budget Cuts
Frogmore Cottage at Windsor Castle has a history, with several previous kings and queens living on the sprawling property. King Henry VIII bought the property in the 18th Century, and Queen Charlotte, along with her daughters, moved into the house. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert are buried on the property together.
In 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle started living on the property. The couple had some beautiful moments at Frogmore Cottage. The couple got engaged at the property, had Archie, their firstborn, and shifted back to the property. King Charles III announced that he would not take care of the personal possessions of royal family members. So the couple has to vacate the property.

The Couple Pay For The Renovations Of The Property
Sir Michael Stevens, the in-charge of the Privy Purse, from which the royal family members get their salaries, confirmed the news. He stated, “We can confirm that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have vacated Frogmore Cottage.”
He continued, “We will not be going into any detail on those arrangements here. Safe to say that, as has previously been stated, the duke and duchess have paid for the expenditure incurred by the Sovereign Grant in relation to the renovation of Frogmore Cottage, thus leaving the Crown with a greatly enhanced asset.”
