From the Netflix docu-series ‘Harry & Meghan’ to the memoir ‘Spare’, much has not saved the names of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from disgrace. Recently the Duke of Sussex had a fallout with his friends and family. Harry’s phone hacking claims against The Sun‘s publisher were thrown out by the judge on July 27.
Prince Harry had been absent from the wedding of one of his closest friends. This had caused much concern among his near and dear. He, along with his wife also had to let go of their homes in the UK. It’s amidst all these troubles that the ‘Spare‘ author had to face backlash from the court.

Prince Harry’s Phone-Hacking Claims Thrown Out
The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry’s claims were pushed away by the High Court Judge due to the ‘lack of credibility‘. The evidence presented by the former senior royal was seen as ‘implausible‘ by the Court. Justice Fancourt who saw to Harry’s claims, described it improbable that the Royal Palace would strike a secret deal with The Sun. He also added that the ‘statements of truth’ were inconsistent with the evidence presented.
These observations by the courts led to the phone hacking claims of the case being dismissed by the Court. Another reason for the dismissal was the fact that the phone hacking happened back in 2012. It had been more than the prescribed time when it was presented before the Court.

The Publication Will Still Face Trial In January
The News Group Network will still have to face trial in January, as there are a majority of allegations still to be discussed. The Duke also pointed out the secret agreement between Buckingham Palace and the newspaper. Hearing out the claimant, the judge pointed out problems with the case. The judge noted that the arguments were ‘nothing other than his rather vague and limited evidence‘.
Though some of the claims have been dropped, The Sun will still face serious claims as it tried to involve itself in the private life of the 35-year-old royal. With the change in claims, Prince Harry also has to pay for the lawyers of the newspaper.
