Prince Harry has done more damage than good by being vulnerable in public and in the media! Due to his bombshell confessions, the royal family has been suffering from image degradation. This has also created a rift between him and the family. Since he and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties, the couple has been making confessions through various media.
After the Oprah interview, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to create a docuseries to broadcast their struggles during their stint with the royal family. So, they utilized the Netflix deal and released ‘Harry & Meghan’ in December 2022. In January 2023, Prince Harry released his controversial memoir ‘Spare,’ which contained highly sensitive confessions, including his drug consumption. Now, Homeland Security in the US is under fire due to Prince Harry’s substance abuse confessions.

The Homeland Security Is Sued For Not Releasing Information Of The Visa Application Of Prince Harry
In ‘Spare,’ Prince Harry has made confessions about consuming hard drugs occasionally. During the Oprah interview, he confessed that he consumed alcohol to numb the anxiety due to Princess Diana’s death.
But, in the memoir, the Duke of Sussex confessed to consuming hard drugs to see another world that “was just as real and twice as beautiful.” He confessed that he consumed powder when he was 17 at a friend’s place in the UK. When he was dating Meghan, Harry consumed mushrooms in the US.
Currently, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are living in California. The Duchess of Sussex is a US citizen, but her husband does not have US citizenship. In normal circumstances, he would have lived on a spousal visa, but Harry was granted an O-1 visa. When one applies for a visa to the US, the person has to disclose any past flouting of drug laws. It makes entering the country difficult.
Now, Harry’s confession has made the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) problems worse. A conservative think tank, The Heritage Foundation, has sued the DHS for not disclosing Harry’s visa application for public scrutiny after the drug consumption revelations.
On May 1, the company filed a lawsuit that read, “The media coverage has surfaced the question of whether DHS’s decision to admit the Duke of Sussex into the United States should be reconsidered in light of the Duke of Sussex’s most recent admissions to the essential elements of numerous drug offenses both here and abroad in his 2023 memoir, Spare.”

The Lawsuit Is Filed To Know That The DHS Is Unbiased In Enforcing The Law
In March, The Heritage Foundation submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to ask for the submission of Prince Harry’s application. But the DHS refused to do so for Prince Harry’s privacy. However, looking at Harry’s recent confessional spree, it seemed like he went no-holds-barred withhis memoir.
The organization stated, “[Media] coverage has directly surfaced questions regarding whether DHS is enforcing the law in a discretionary area consistently, impartially, or is showing favoritism.”
The lawyer for the plaintiff states, “The Duke of Sussex, however, has made the affirmative choice to put almost every aspect of his life on display—including those aspects traditionally kept private by public figures. In so doing, he has publicized not only his own most personal and private moments but also those of HM the King, HRH The Prince and Princess of Wales, and the late HM the Queen. Moreover, these revelations have been made explicitly for massive commercial gain.”
The Heritage Foundation filed a request with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service [USCIS] to find Harry’s A-File. The authority was trying to reach the think tank to collect more information to process the request. The filing also highlighted, “No matter how an alien is authorized to enter the country, they will have an A-File in some form. USCIS makes commonly requested A-Files publicly available in their FOIA electronic reading room.”
