Dominic West is known for his role as King Charles III on the show. During a recent conversation on ‘Sunday Morning‘ on Times Radio, West spoke about how his friendship with Prince Harry hit an icy patch.

He said that he fell out of the friendship about a year after the duo went together for the ‘Walking With the Wounded’ charity event in 2013. The venture involved injured veterans in Antarctica. Without indulging into many details, West said that he spoke a little too much during a 2014 press conference which seemingly put Prince Harry off.

[Harry] was very much part of the teamHe seemed to specialize in building latrines. He built this incredible castellated structure with blocks to keep out the wind, and it even had a [toilet] roll holder,” West said, speaking about the charity even that he shared with the Duke.

When pressed some more to speak about what exactly has happened, West said, “I think I was asked what we did[And] what we did to celebrate when we got there and [I] probably said too much,” he continued.

We sort of [lost touch because] I said too much in a press conference, and so, we didn’t speak after that,” West said adding that he wasn’t able to ask Prince Harry for advice on how to play Charles on the show.

In another revelation during the same conversation, West said that he also did not allow his son, Senan West, to reprise his role as young Prince William in Season 6 of the show. When asked about the reason, he simply said he was uncomfortable with the storyline

He specifically mentioned the incident involving Balmoral Castle, where young William is informed of his mother’s death. “They invited Senan back because he did such a good job, and he was great, but I did slightly balk at that. It was unfair of me because he did want to do it, but I wouldn’t have fancied that, to be honest,” he said.
