“We Will Not Be Broken”: Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Clap Back At Reports Suggesting Threat To Their Relationship

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have always been a part of headlines especially after they stepped down from the royal duties. The media has not exactly been helpful in extinguishing the fire with the frequent reports about the drama in the royal family.

But the Duke Duchess of Sussex are clapping back at recent reports suggesting their fate within the Royal family hinges on their upcoming trip to Canada for the Invictus Games. The Duke and Duchess are set to fly to Ontario in a private jet for the event. Meanwhile, their representative issued a firm statement, dismissing claims that this event is a make-or-break situation for the royals.

The royal family has been in the headlines for their dented relationship with the royal family ever since they stepped down from their royal duties. Among the many reports about their relationship with the royal family, a recent one suggested that the couple’s upcoming trip to Canada for the Invictus Games will cement their fate with the royals.

However, the couple has dismissed the claims with an official statement by their reps ahead of the trip. “We’ve heard time and time again that certain opportunities are make or break for the couple. They’re still here. They’re still working and pursuing what they believe in, despite constantly being challenged and criticized. This couple will not be broken,” the spokesperson said in response to the rumors on Thursday.

The comments were prompted by an article asserting that the couple needs to “prove they can behaveduring their public appearances in Vancouver if they “want to salvage a relationship with the Royal family.” The Sussexes, however, are maintaining their focus on the Invictus Games, with an insider revealing they will remain on-message about the 2025 event.

The criticism against the royal couple intensified after Prince Harry’s recent 45-minute meeting with his cancer-stricken father, King Charles. The meeting happened just one week before the Invictus Games as Prince Harry flew to the UK the moment he heard the news of his father’s cancer diagnosis.

While details of the private meeting were kept confidential, Harry had left the country after merely 45 minutes of meeting with his father. Harry is now likely to face questions about it during his press engagements in Canada.

Some earlier reports have suggested that Harry needs to “keep schtum” during the Canada visit, to pursue his reconciliation plans. The Royal family, the media, and the public will undoubtedly be keen on observing the couple’s behavior and responses during this critical time.

The Duke and Duchess further stirred the pot by launching Sussex.com, a website adorned with their royal titles and the UK coat of arms. The move has sparked a variety of speculations as the two have already stepped down from royal duties four years ago.

It was also disclosed that the couple decided to give their children — Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet — the Sussex title as their surname instead of Mountbatten-Windsor. This update, coming after a promise to the late Queen Elizabeth II that they wouldn’t use the name Sussex Royal, has sparked some discussions.
