The ex-royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have created a stir with their new Netflix docuseries ‘Harry & Meghan’. The two-part docuseries chronicles their story of struggle with the Royal Family. The couple has dropped many bomb shells during the documentary and alleged that the Royal Family conspired to take Meghan down. The docuseries have severed the already deteriorated relationship with the Royal Family.
People online have also not welcomed the revelations made on ‘Harry & Meghan’. It is one of the mega projects amongst the many upcoming ones with Netflix. Prince Harry and Markle have inked a deal worth approximately $100 million. Now, they have unveiled yet another project titled ‘Live to Lead’, which will include interviews of prominent people including Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister of New Zealand. However, she is not very happy with the involvement.

Jacinda Ardern Was Involved With The Project Via Mandela Foundation
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, after their bombshell Netflix docuseries, will be releasing another Netflix project. The ‘Live To Lead’ show will have a series of interviews with prominent personalities like the climate activist Greta Thunberg, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Jacinda Ardern.
The couple met her during their Royal tour to New Zealand, one of the commonwealth nations, in 2018. Ardern appreciated Meghan’s zeal to be on a tour while she was pregnant with Archie. However, now, the Prime Minister does not want any involvement with the ex-royals.
During a press conference, Jacinda’s office released a press release to clear her stance about her involvement with the upcoming Netflix series. The statement read, “In early March 2019 the prime minister was approached by the Mandela Foundation to participate in a project to develop accessible resources on key attributes of leadership targeted at aspiring young leaders around the world, based off a one-hour interview”.
The statement continued, “Originally we were advised the outputs would be printed and digital books, short films and audiobooks”. The interview took place in 2019 along with other luminaries like Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the feminist activist Gloria Steinnem, and Stephen Curry. They published the interviews in 2020. Ardern published it in a short book titled ‘Jacinda Ardern(I Know This to be True)’.

Did Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Involvement Affected Her Decision?
The statement continued, “In March 2021 the Nelson Mandela Foundation advised the prime minister’s office they had secured an agreement with Netflix to broadcast the series of interviews, including the 2019 interview with the prime minister”. However, the office was not aware that the couple would have a direct involvement in the project. Both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be Executive Producers on the project with their production company ‘Archewell’.
“In May this year the prime minister’s office was notified that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would introduce the series; noting this was nearly two and a half years after the interview had been recorded and permission for its use by the Mandela Foundation had already been provided”, the press release read.
They said, “All communication throughout has been with the foundation (there has been no communications with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex regarding the project)”. The reason why Jacinda Ardern cleared her stance is because of the current buzz around the ‘Harry & Meghan’ documentary. The couple have left no stone unturned with their confessions about the Royal Family. She does not want to sever ties with the Royal Family supporting a Meghan-Harry led project due to the membership in the Commonwealth Nations.
