Prince Harry has had a troubled relationship with the British Royal family. This was further damaged after he and Meghan Markle stepped down from their royal duties in 2020 and left the UK. He is not really on talking terms with his father King Charles and elder brother, Prince William.
After the sudden and tragic death of Princess Diana, Harry and William were against his father remarrying. The Duke of Sussex revealed these things in his memoir, ‘Spare.’ So let’s find out in detail about this and why the two were against the marriage.
Prince Harry And William Did Not Want King Charles To Marry Again
In his memoir ‘Spare,’ Prince Harry has made several revelations about his family and personal life. The book has become a best-seller and one of the most successful non-fiction books of all time.
He also wrote that he and his elder brother Prince William supported their father King Charles’ (Prince then) love for Camilla. However, they were against the idea of him remarrying.
“Just please don’t marry her. Just be together, Pa. He didn’t answer,” he recalls telling his father in his book. He also mentioned that Camilla leaked her private conversations with William to put pressure on the Royal Family.
“Shortly after our private summits with her, she began to play the long game, a campaign aimed at marriage and eventually the Crown“, Harry writes.

Harry Believed Princess Diana Faked Her Death
Princess Diana died in a car crash in 1997 inside a tunnel in Paris. Charles later dated and married Camilla. However, Diana’s death had a massive impact on Harry as he was 12 at that time.
In his memoir, Harry states that for the longest time, he thought she faked her death to escape the press. He felt it was a trick and “for once the trick wasn’t being played by the people around me, or the press, but by Mummy.”
He stated that her life was “miserable, she’s been hounded, harassed, lied about, lied to. So she’s staged an accident as a diversion and run away”.
