Will Meghan Markle Resume Her Acting After Signing With WME?

Meghan Markle, along with her husband Prince Harry, has been creating headlines over the past couple of months. They released a Netflix documentary series titled ‘Harry & Meghan.’ It was followed by the much talked about memoir of Harry called ‘Spare‘, which became a best-seller.

After marrying Harry, the Duchess of Sussex quit her acting career in Hollywood. However, recently it has been reported that she has signed with WME, which is a holding company for talent agencies. So does that mean Meghan is planning a return to acting? Let us find out.

Meghan Markle has signed with WME and will be represented by Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel, Jill Smoller, and Brad Slater. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the agency will also represent Meghan and Prince Harry’s company Archewell.

Markle started her career as an actress on various projects, most notably ‘Suits.’ But she gave up acting for good after becoming a member of the British royal family. Despite signing with WME, Markle won’t be returning to acting.

She and her company’s main focus is on film and TV production, as well as brand partnerships. In 2020, after shifting to California, the duo signed a multiyear deal with Netflix which came up with ‘Harry & Meghan.’ Meghan has also been hosting a successful podcast called ‘Archetypes‘ on Spotify.

After the couple’s tell-all spree on the royal family, many were speculating that they won’t be invited to King Charles’ coronation ceremony. However, earlier this month, Bucking Palace issued a statement and said that Harry will be in attendance on May 6 in London.

Markle, on the other hand, will remain in California with her two children: Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The coronation day is also coinciding with the 6th birthday of Archie.

There have been reports that Meghan decided to skip the ceremony as her children were not invited. Their last visit to the UK as a couple was in 2022 to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
