‘Harry & Meghan’: Will The Couple Lose Their Royal Title?
The chance that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lose their royal titles is so unlikely. The title, Duke and Duchess of Sussex was gifted to the couple by Queen Elizabeth on their wedding day back in 2018. The couple openly addressed the issues that they faced inside the walls of the royal palace.
“Stripping their title is not something the king would likely ever consider … mostly because it would be too petty and punitive. It would only lead to the Sussexes claiming that it was a retaliatory action and proof they were never wanted in the royal family,” said one of the royal experts to Page Six.
In the first part of the series, the couple talked about the “unconscious bias” that was present in the royal family. The talk came up while discussing the controversy regarding the Blackamoor brooch worn by Princess Michael in 2017. Many critics have come up with the opinion that the couple should at least be taken off their royal titles. Others suggest the royal family should cut all ties with the couples before they bring more misery to the family.

Will Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Give Up Their Royal Titles?
“Harry could relinquish his princely title if he wishes, just as Princess Patricia of Connaught, a granddaughter of Queen Victoria, did when she married a commoner just over a century ago,” said Majesty managing editor Joe Little to Page Six.
If the couple gives off their royal titles, then Harry will be left with his princely title. Whereas Meghan will have to take up a different honorific which would be Princess Henry. This is because only woman born into the royal family can use their own names.
The couple is believed to want their children, Archie, and Lilibet to have royal titles. It is speculated that King Charles III is waiting for the documentary to end. And also for Harry’s memoir to be out, which is due on January 10, 2022.
