Earlier this year Gerard Pique made fans upset following his split with Shakira. The couple ended their 11-year-old relationship after the footballer cheated on her and got caught.
Now, six months after the couple parted ways, it seems that fans are still bitter about the incident. Here’s how they showed their support to Shakira in a Madrid nightclub where Pique was present.
Shakira’s Fans Overwhelm Gerard Pique At A Nightclub
In a video being shared on Twitter, Gerad Pique was seen at a nightclub in Madrid where he had been spending the evening with his buddies. The night took a humiliating turn for him when the audience started chanting Shakira’s name and singing her songs.
While the audience was chanting Shakira’s name, Pique was seen standing on a stage and attempting to address them. The nightclub scenes in the video were chaotic as numerous clubgoers came together to support Shakira.
Fans on Twitter reacted to the video. Most of them said that he had it coming.
Fans are still bitter about the split and what Pique did to Shakira. Many came on Twitter to write how he’s nothing without her and that his career is almost over now.

Why Did Shakira And Pique Break Up?
Pique was allegedly having an affair with Clara Chia Marti when he was with her. Shakira discovered her ex-partner was cheating on her with the help of a jar of jam. She loves strawberry jam, whereas Pique has never liked or eaten it.
When Shakira was gone from home to promote her music, she returned to find some of her favorite jam had been consumed, which was strange because Gerard never had it because he didn’t enjoy it! It could only lead to one conclusion: someone else was present in her absence.
Speaking about her breakup, Shakira also blamed their careers for becoming the reason why they had to split. She told Elle that their ambitious professions had been a factor in her split from Gerard. She added that when her children began school, they had to decide whether to relocate to the United States or stay in Barcelona for their different careers.
The ‘Waka Waka‘ singer further stated that she sacrificed her career to support Pique’s football career. She described her relationship with the FC Barcelona footballer as “probably the darkest hour of my life,” claiming that the scandalous and salacious stories surrounding their split damaged her relationship more. However, she assured that even if their relationship was over, they would prioritize the needs of their children. She shares two sons Piqué – Milan and Sasha.
