‘Uncharted‘ fans are in for good news! Their favorite game and movie will finally have a themed ride at Spain’s biggest theme park. Now, along with watching the movie and playing the games, fans will also have the opportunity to have a live experience of the masterpiece by Sony. The first rollercoaster based on the series will be built at the biggest theme park in Spain. This comes via a contract struck by Sony Pictures and PortAventura World.
The themed park, which is situated in Spain took to Twitter to announce its newest installation of the ‘Uncharted‘-themed ride. So what would be the ride like? Let’s find out.

‘Uncharted’: The Exciting Ride
On Wednesday, PortAventura, a Spanish theme park took to Twitter to announce they will install a new ride that is inspired by Tom Holland’s Uncharted. In an exciting venture, the attraction would “reveal dark and unexplored territories”. It also will include “a journey of unexpected events in a totally immersive experience in search of the great treasure.”
David Garcia, executive vice president and managing director of PortAventura World, issued a statement saying, “We are convinced that this new attraction with state-of-the-art technology will create great moments and memories for families and friends that come to spend their holidays and free time in our resort.”

When Will The Ride Launch?
The ‘dark ride rollercoaster’ will launch in 2023, according to reports. According to Jeffrey Godsick, executive vice president of global partnerships and brand management at Sony Pictures Entertainment and head of location-based entertainment, “The team at PortAventura World has designed a thrilling ride so that fans of the game and film can now step into Nate and Sully’s shoes and go on their own white-knuckle, treasure-hunting race.”
The roughly 700-meter-long ride will rise to a height of 12 meters (39 feet), within a 4,800-square-meter environment that is 16 meters tall. Prior to the start of the ride, there will be a pre-show “packed with surprises.” Intamin Amusement Rides and Sally Corporation are constructing the ride, which will cost 25 million euros ($26 million USD).
