Twitter has been in the news this year for its messy battle with billionaire Elon Musk. The Tesla CEO has been making dramatic changes in the company ever since he finalized the $44 billion. Nearly half of the workforce was fired from the social media giant recently to cut costs.
This comes amid policy changes in Twitter, including a subscription plan to charge monthly $8 for account verification. However, fired employees being asked to return to work has puzzled everyone across the globe. Let’s find out the reason for his strange phenomena.
Twitter Is Asking Its Fired Employees To Return To Work
On Friday, the social media giant Twitter laid off nearly 50% workforce to cut costs right after Elon Musk completed the $44 billion acquisition. Now, something strange has happened.
According to a Bloomberg report, the company is now reaching out to dozens of employees who lost their jobs and asking them to return. Some of them were laid off by mistake.
Others were fired on Friday and later company realized that their work and experience may be needed to build the new features Musk has planned.

Elon Musk Delays The Subscription Plans
Ever since Musk announced his plans to charge $8 monthly for the blue tick verification batch, his plan has been criticized by dozens of people including celebrities.
Amid all this, mid-term elections are just around the corner. Twitter has delayed plans until after the midterm elections Tuesday. They made the decision the day after its official announcement of the monthly fee model.
“Power to the people,” the company’s original announcement said. “Your account will get a blue check mark, just like the celebrities, companies, and politicians you already follow.”
Twitter first introduced verified accounts in 2009 with the blue tick mark serving as a visual signifier to show that significant users, such as celebrities, politicians, etc are authentic, not fake accounts.
