The second season of ‘And Just Like That’ was memorable for fans of the ‘Sex and the City’ reboot. The memories of the cult classic came flooding back for the fans when they saw their favorite Samantha Jones, played by the stellar Kim Cattrall, on screen. The series also reintroduced Aidan after the death of Big in the first season.
However, throughout seasons one and two of ‘And Just Like That,’ one character that fans have despised is that of Sara Ramírez’s Che Diaz. In the first season, we get introduced to the character as a podcast co-host with Carrie Bradshaw, and later, they become a love interest of Cynthia Nixon’s Miranda. Due to their attitude and behavior towards Miranda and letting her break her marriage of so many years, the fans were disappointed. Now, the director has seemingly addressed the moment that laid the groundwork for the hate for the character.
Michael King Says That The Fingering Scene Of Che Diaz In ‘And Just Like That’ Contributed To The Downfall Of The Character
Michael King is basking in the glory of the successful second season of ‘And Just Like That’ and the fact that the show is renewed for a third season. The director, executive producer, and developer of the show appeared on the bonus episode of Vanity Fair’s ‘Still Watching’ to discuss the series. During the podcast, he addressed the hate that Sara Ramírez’s character has received throughout the two seasons.
Michael King said, “I think it was all fine until Che fingered Miranda in the kitchen, while Carrie was peeing in the Snapple bottle. I think that freaked the audience out so much that they went into some sort of seatbelt mode with the first season. Like, what’s gonna happen next if that happened?”

Sara Ramírez Says World Has Become Hostile Towards Gender Non-Binary People
Sara Ramírez has been around the industry for quite some time! They have famously starred as Dr. Callie Torres on ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’ They received traction for their portrayal of Che Diaz since the first season of ‘And Just Like That.’ However, their character was not well received by both the audience and critics. Recently, the actor addressed the hate in an Instagram post.
Sara Ramírez addressed the vitriol, saying, “I am not the fictional characters I have played, nor am I responsible for the things that are written for them to say. I am a human being, an artist, an actor. We are living in a world that has become increasingly hostile toward anyone who dares to free themselves from the gender binary or disrupt the mainstream.”
Sara also addressed the criticism of their dialogues in the series. They added, “When a cis man is in charge and has ultimate control of dialogue actors say, and you have a valid problem with it, perhaps you should be interviewing him.”
