‘Black Mirror’ Director Owen Harris Is Set To Take Charge Of The New ‘Game Of Thrones’ Prequel
‘Game of Thrones’ prequel series ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ is set to hit the screens soon. As yet another installment of the popular show gears up for its debut, fans can brace themselves for a promising fusion with a major talent from ‘Black Mirror’ at the helm.
‘Black Mirror‘ director Owen Harris has delivered some of the most standout episodes of the show, including ‘Be Right Back‘ and ‘San Junipero‘. After showcasing his talent in the hit dystopian show, Harris has been enlisted by HBO to lead the charge as both an executive producer and the director of the first three episodes of ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’.
Along with the official announcement of Owen taking charge, the show’s production team has also revealed some exciting details about the show. It is now confirmed that the first season of the show will consist of six episodes, even though all the shows related to the franchise have typically had longer episodes.

Here’s All We Know About ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’
The decision to keep each episode of the first season concise is made taking into consideration George R.R. Martin’s novella, ‘The Hedge Knight’. The show creators are aiming to have a focused narrative that will stay true to Martin’s book and its storyline.
Moreover, the show is now being called ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’, instead of its previous, longer name ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight’. Though it is not officially confirmed what the show will be called, show creators are using the former name for the show.
As of now, it is confirmed that actors Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell will take on the lead roles of Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg respectively on the show. Set a century before the events of ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ will give the viewers glimpses into the lives of unlikely heroes and their life challenges.
With a talented team of writers and producers, including Martin and Ira Parker, ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ is slated for a 2025 release.
