Which Version Of Jason Dies In The Last Episode Of ‘Dark Matter’?
The narrative of the show keeps the spotlight on Jason 1 who parted ways with Amanda played by Alice Braga, in a utopian world. This Jason gets himself arrested, after which Daniela bails him out. He then explains the bizarre situation to her. Though skeptical initially, she eventually believes him when she calls her husband, and Jason 2 answers.
In a dramatic turn, Daniela pushes Jason 1 down the basement stairs and flees with Charlie, only to encounter yet another Jason who also visited the utopian world. Realizing her mistake, she escapes again with her son.
By the end of the episode, Daniela reunites with Jason 1, the same one who explained everything to her. He thereby confirms his identity after his crucial course correction and chooses to reach out to Daniela over seeking revenge. This decision strengthens Daniela’s trust in him.
At least two versions of Jason 1 meet their end in Episode 8, falling in separate skirmishes. During the Village conversation, Jason 1 admits to killing another version following an attack. As Daniela shuts the basement door on Jason 2, there’s a small possibility he might be dead as well, given his apparent lack of movement.
