‘Ted Lasso’ Dominates Emmy Nominations

Last year, the series successfully dominated the awards season by taking home many trophies. ‘Ted Lasso‘ creator and star Sudeikis won Emmys for his performance as the titular soccer coach Ted. Also, Waddingham took home an award for her portrayal as AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton, and Goldstein scored for his turn as veteran soccer player Roy Kent. The show also bagged the award in the outstanding comedy series category.
Is Ted Lasso Coming To An End?
The much popular show is actually coming to its end and fans must accept it. Sudeikis had revealed back in 2021 that they originally imagined the story of ‘Ted Lasso‘ running for three seasons with a “clear beginning, middle, and end.” But, he also said that the plan could change going forward.
However, Goldstein seemed to confirm that the plan for three seasons was still happening in an interview with the Sunday Times this year, saying, “It was planned as three.”
