In an interview with ComicBook, Moriarty expressed her frustration with the lack of consequences for The Deep’s actions. When asked about which member of the seven she would like to kill, she at first claimed that Starlight should kill Homelander.

“I think she should kill Homeander. I don’t think that want or desire will or can be met. Who knows?” She stated. However, on second thought, she added that at the least she should get to kill the “fish guy”. “But she’s got to at least get The Deep, let me kill the fish guy at least, bare minimum for God’s sake,” she added.

Moriarty’s desire to see Starlight eliminate The Deep is rooted in the character’s long-standing feud with the sexually predatory supe. The Deep has repeatedly proven to be a morally reprehensible individual, engaging in a variety of heinous acts, including sexually assaulting Starlight.

Despite his numerous transgressions, The Deep has managed to evade any serious consequences whatsoever. So, Erin believes that it’s time for Starlight to deliver some much-needed justice. Additionally, according to her, Starlight’s killing of The Deep would be a cathartic moment for the character and a satisfying resolution to their ongoing conflict.

She emphasized that Starlight is not a cold-blooded killer, but rather a hero who is driven by a sense of justice and morality. However, Moriarty also acknowledged that Starlight would need to be provoked into taking action. Moreover, this would ensure that her killing of The Deep is justified and not a senseless act of violence.

Moriarty has also expressed her desire to see Starlight team up with Ashley Barrett, the former Vought executive turned Supe, in ‘The Boys’ Season 5. Moriarty believes that Ashley, who has become a crucial ally in the fight against The Seven, would make a formidable partner for Starlight.

Additionally, the actress suggested that the duo could join forces to take down the remaining members of The Seven. Moreover, while Erin Moriarty has expressed her desire to see Starlight take out The Deep, she also acknowledged that not all characters in The Boys deserve such a fate.

In particular, Moriarty praised the new Black Noir. According to her, Noir is a character who has been unfairly caught up in the chaos created by Vought. Unlike his predecessor, he is a victim of circumstance.
