‘Gossip Girl’ was all anyone could talk about back when it aired with its tantalizing storylines, dramatic twists, and glamorous portrayal of the Upper East Side of Manhattan. From Serena van der Woodsen’s fashion sense to Chuck Bass’s deviant schemes, the show had everyone’s attention in a chokehold. However, the one thing about the series that had everyone speculating was the charming and debonair Nate Archibald’s love life.
Nate Archibald did not have one all-encompassing love story like Chuck and Blair, as he went through various relationships/situationships throughout the series. Nate’s Relationship History
Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) had a hold on every girl’s heart because of his good looks, charm, romantic nature, and old-money fashion sense. He was the most popular love choice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
Throughout the length of the series, Nate got into several romantic entanglements including a long-standing on-and-off childhood romance with Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester). He also had a short-lived affair with Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and a raunchy fling with an older married woman Diana Payne (Elizabeth Hurley).
He dated several other women throughout the course of the series, including Vanessa Abrams and Juliet Sharp, but none of them lasted. He was often caught up in the drama and scandals that would befall him and his entire social circle, courtesy of Gossip Girl.
The scandals somehow always took precedence when it came to poor Nate’s love life. However, to the despair of the fans, it seemed that Nate would never find his match as he struggled to find his one true love.

The Ultimate Love Interest
After what seemed like an unending string of doomed relationships, Nate Archibald finally found his ultimate love interest in the show’s finale. In the final episode, Nate was seen dating a woman named Sage Spence (Sofia Black-D’Elia).
Although Sage was not a primary character and was introduced at the tail end of the show, fans were delighted to see Nate finally settle down with someone. The show’s creators kept it open-ended and up to the audience’s imagination to decide what happened next in Nate’s love life as he was seen running for mayor in the series finale.
‘Gossip Girl’ kept the fans on the edge of their seats with its thrilling plotlines and scandalous and risqué love affairs. While the question of who Nate Archibald ended up with may have left the audience with a good deal of speculation, the series finale did justice to his story arc.
Regardless of whether he found his one true love, one thing is for certain- Nate Archibald will forever be the heartthrob of the generation who grew up on Gossip Girl and everyone who came after.
