‘The Flash‘ has come to a sad end after a long run. Executive producer Eric Wallace made the decision that the ninth season of the show will be its final season on August 1. A lot of fans are really disheartened by the news.
The lead actor Grant Gustin posted a video on his Instagram account after the decision became public. In the video, he shared a heartfelt message for all the fans who he felt deserved closure for supporting the show for such a long time.

Grant Gustin Speaks His Heart Out About ‘The Flash’ In New Video
In the video, Grant Gustin talked heart to heart with the fans. He thanked them for always supporting the show. He started the video on August 5 by saying, “By now, maybe most of you have seen the news, maybe some of you haven’t. This week we announced that season nine of ‘The Flash’ will be the final season, which is bittersweet. It’s been an incredible nearly ten years of playing this character and getting to be a part of this show with an amazing cast and crew.”
“The fans, the people that love the show, are the only reason we’ve been able to go as long as we have,” the ‘Glee’ alum continued. “I’m really excited to get to do this one more time and finish on our terms. I’m going to enjoy every minute of it as much as I can. I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting the show and allowing us to go as long as we have.”
Gustin Talks About His Performance On The Show
Grant Gustin also talked about his performance on the show. He expressed how whatever he learned while working on ‘The Flash‘ will always stay with him. It was an experience of a lifetime for the star and he’s definitely going to miss it.
“I couldn’t be more honored to be associated with this character, probably for the rest of my life and career,” he said. “It is seriously a true honor.”
