Apple TV has released the official trailer for their upcoming web series ‘Silo‘. The dystopian science fiction series starring Rebecca Ferguson is about a community of survivors living safely in a silo. Things seem alright as long as the Silo’s inhabitants follow the rules. That is unless one individual challenges the status quo.
Previously titled ‘Wool,’ it is a ten-episode series for Apple TV written by Graham Yost. ‘Silo‘ is based on a popular series of post-apocalyptic science fiction novels by Hugh Howey. ‘Silo’ Is Based On A Series Of Novels By Hugh Howey
Graham Yost’s Apple TV series ‘Silo‘ is based on a series of ‘Wool‘ novels. Written by Hugh Howey, the series begins with a short story titled ‘Wool.’ It takes place on a post-apocalyptic Earth. Humanity’s survival rests on Silo, an underground city extending 144 stories beneath the surface.
The series follows the characters of Holston, the sheriff of the Silo, Juliette, Jahns, and Marnes. The focus of the plot surrounds the structure of the Silo and the secrets it holds. The series has nine books, with a 10th untitled book currently under work.
Apple TV’s adaptation of Hugh Howey’s novels stars Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette, an engineer who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don’t kill you, the truth will.

‘Silo’: Cast And Crew Of The Apple TV’s Science Fiction Series
Based on the novels of Hugh Howey, the Apple TV series is written by Graham Yost. Morten Tyldum (Run Lola Run, The Imitation Game) directs the first three episodes of 10. Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Robbins Rashida Joes, and David Oyelowo as Holston form the primary cast.
Common, Harriet Walter, Avi Nash, Chinaza Uche, Rick Gomez, Henry Garrett, Iain Glen, Will Merrick, Ferdinand Kingsley, Shane McRae, and Drage round up the supporting cast.
Apple TV is releasing ‘Silo‘ on May 5, 2023, with a 2-episode debut. The remaining eight will be released weekly following the week of the show’s debut.
