CBS’ new thriller ‘Tracker’ is nearing its end. Justin Hartley shines as Colter Shaw, a survivalist with top-notch tracking skills. The show also sheds light on Shaw’s personal life. In its 12th episode, the show introduced the older brother of Hartley’s Colter Shaw, Russell played by none other than Jensen Ackles.
It has been teased throughout the season that Colter suspects his older brother Russell is responsible for their father’s death. Finally, Russell has arrived to answer all the questions. In addition, Ackles dropped a smooth easter egg for the TV series ‘Supernatural’ on his debut episode.

Jensen Ackles Meets His “Baby” From ‘Supernatural’ In ‘Tracker’
In the episode “Off The Books”, Russell tracks down Colter. Russell tries to explain to Colter that he didn’t kill their father however, Colter seems to have some doubts. Later, the older brother asks for his little bro to help him track his old buddy.
Colter agrees to his request and goes to pick Russell up from the motel where he was living. After a small chit-chat, Russell goes to the passenger seat, however, before sitting, he pats a Chevrolet Impala parked next to him.
‘Supernatural’ fans know how much Jensen’s character, Dean Winchester adored his Chevy Impala which he inherited from his father. The car was featured in many episodes and even fans got a little attached to it. Winchester referred to his Impala as “Baby” throughout the show.
Ackles also loved the car so much that he begged the creators to let him take it after the show ended in 2020. During an interview with Digital Spy, Ackles said, “As far as taking something on the final day, I will definitely be taking something that I’ve had my eye on since day one of Supernatural. But it’s OK, I’m not stealing it. I got permission. I begged and begged and pleaded for years, but I finally got it this year. They’re going to let me drive home the Impala.”

Will Jensen Ackles’ Russell Shaw Return For The Season 2?
Jensen Ackles coming to the ‘Tracker’ will help the show elevate further. Ackles is a widely known star thanks to his 15 years of ‘Supernatural’ and his chef’s kiss-worthy performance as Soldier Boy in ‘The Boys‘. However, fans are wondering if it was just a one-off or if he will return for season 2 of ‘Tracker’.
Justin Hartley in a recent interview with Collider confirmed the return of Jensen as Russell along with other members of the Shaw family. He said, “[Sofia] is coming back. Jensen is gonna come back. Melissa is gonna come back. There’s another leak for you. They’re all coming back.” Ackles’ Russell will be the center of their father’s death subplot.
