The Roman Empire is now extended to the awards season, with the Roys sweeping major awards during the awards season. ‘Succession’ has been the most favorite discourse for people on the internet, and rightfully so with brilliant actors like Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin, and Sarah Snook, and the storyline that bids adieu to these characters with the most baffling conclusion.
Recently, ‘Succession’ emerged victorious at the delayed 2023 Emmy Awards in the drama category. Director Mark Mylod won the Emmy for ‘Best Director’ with Kieran Culkin and Sarah Snook taking home the Emmys in the acting category. During a backstage conversation, Kieran extended gratitude to his mother, snubbing his father and taking a dig at him. Whereas, his stepfather has admitted that Culkin’s mother and he have not watched the show.

Kieran Culkin’s Mother And Stepfather Have Only Watched Few Episodes Of ‘Succession’
During the recent awards season, ‘Succession’ got the much-deserved send-off after the final season, with the cast and the show sweeping awards in major categories. At the Golden Globes and Emmys, Kieran Culkin took home the ‘Best Actor’ trophies. While his wife, Jazz Charton, was present at the ceremony, his mother, Patty Brentrup, could not make it due to health issues.
Kieran Culkin did not forget to mention his mother and how she single-handedly raised seven kids while his father, Kit Culkin, was absent. During an interview with Page Six, Kieran’s stepfather, Mart Cox, talked about Patty’s health struggles and how they are proud of the ‘Succession’ actor’s success.
Mart Cox said, “We certainly are proud of Kieran and we’re really happy life is just beginning for him. But we have nine kids and we love them all.” However, Cox admitted that Kieran’s mother and he have not watched her son’s widely popular show. He said, “I’m not big on TV. We never really watch TV…it’s not everything in our lives.”

‘Succession’ created a heavy buzz during the premiere of its fourth and final season. From Logan Roy’s death to the siblings coming together to the reveal of the successor of the Roy empire, the season had some noteworthy moments. The awards season was also not bereft of some highlight moments from the cast of ‘Succession’.
During the recent 2023 Emmy Awards, Kieran Culkin won the ‘Best Actor In a Drama Series’. Kieran gave an emotional yet hilarious thank-you speech. He thanked each member of the ‘Succession’ cast, his mother, and his manager, but when he thanked his wife, Jazz, he made an unusual request to her.
Kieran Culkin said, “And of course my beautiful wife, Jazz. Thank you for sharing your life with me and giving me two amazing kids, Kinsey Sioux and Wilder Wolf. I love you so many and so much. And Jazz, I want more.” While the audience went louder with their “oohs”, he added, “You said! You said ‘maybe’, if I win! I love you so much.”
