The cast members of ‘The Umbrella Academy‘ recently discussed the real reason behind the conclusion of the show. During an interview with People, cast members Ritu Arya and Justin H. Min explained why the show won’t continue anymore.
Arya was approached by the showrunner Steve Blackman for season 5. Speaking of her character on the show, she said, “I think there was more to explore, especially for me, with the Lila/Five stuff in the subway, all these different worlds. I would’ve loved to have got to explore that so much more.“
While talking about the ending of ‘The Umbrella Academy’, she said, “I think it’s such a cool concept, but it goes so quickly, and it’s exactly what it’s supposed to be.“
Min also chimed in, adding, “So many things happened the main one being the pandemic and the strike and it delaying things. We almost spent a year gap between each of the seasons”.
‘”Someone like Aidan, he’s grown right before our eyes. We knew at a certain point it was going to become unsustainable for us to draw this process out. I think ending it at four was the right decision and closing up all those storylines and questions that fans have had over the years,” the actor said.

Is There a Chance Of Another Season Of ‘The Umbrella Academy’?
The news of the ending of ‘The Umbrella Academy‘ came as a huge shock to fans. The series had a huge viewership till its third season with also being the most popular TV series released on Netflix during its release year. Moreover, the subsequent season of ‘The Umbrella Academy’ performed well too.
With a potential 5th season of the show, the 4 season does a great job of wrapping up the storyline and even linking up the initial seasons’ loose threads, including the mystery of Ben’s death and Jennifer’s incident.
The series has a proper ending to conclude the show with its fourth season. The makers should also consider that Netflix has a golden history of canceling shows midway and ‘The Umbrella Academy‘ has already solved all the unresolved. Hence it’s better to end it with the fourth season itself.
