‘The Witcher‘ fans may have some bad days coming as the creators of the show have declared that its fifth season would be the final one. Netflix confirmed that the show is set for the production of Season 5, while also announcing that Henry Cavill will no longer be continuing his pivotal role in the series.
Liam Hemsworth will take on the lead role from Cavill and play Geralt of Rivia on the show, but it isn’t for too long that he’ll get to play it. Netflix confirmed that Season 4 and 5 of the show will be filmed back to back and will conclude the adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s books.
Netflix also released a short montage related to the upcoming season 4 of ‘The Witcher‘ which included the other cast members including Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, and Joey Batey, among others.
The official handle of the show also confirmed that season 4 and 5 of the show are under production.

Henry Cavill Surprised Fans With Announcement That He’d Leave ‘The Witcher’
The production of both seasons 4 and 5 of ‘The Witcher‘ is underway, but without Henry Cavill. The actor was well aware of his farewell to the show, and even shared shared a heartfelt post to bid goodbye to the show.
“My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4. In my stead, the fantastic Mr. Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf,” he wrote in his social media post.
“As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men. Liam, good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth to him — enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find,” Cavill added.
Though there are just two seasons left for the show, fans are eager to see what the series holds for the characters and the storyline. All the 3 seasons of ‘The Witcher’ are available for streaming on Netflix.
