10. Search Party (2016-2022)
At first, ‘Search Party’ began as a quirky blend of sitcom and mystery. It followed Dori Sief as she searched for her missing acquaintance, Chantal Witherbottom, along with her hilariously self-absorbed group of friends.
But the series took a dramatic turn in season 2, and became a dark comic crime thriller. It didn’t stop ther as the show kept evolving. Sometimes we saw courtroom drama, sometimes a psychological thriller and eventually a bizarre cult story that spiralled into a zombie apocalypse.

9. Twin Peaks (1990-1991)
A show far ahead of its time, ‘Twin Peaks’ started as a small-town murder mystery centred on the death of Laura Palmer. But things began to change in the third episode when Agent Dale Cooper enters the mysterious Red Room.
From that point on, the series shifts dramatically into surrealism, introducing supernatural elements and becoming far more complex than how it started. Though it might have caught its regular viewers off-guard, this change is one of the many reasons the show still has a cult following.

5. Westworld (2016-2022)
Beginning as a thought-provoking sci-fi western, ‘Westworld’ had one of the most unique premises when it came to TV shows. It was set inside a futuristic theme park where lifelike androids were made to serve wealthy guests.
But by the end of its first season, the series dramatically shifts away from this premise. It evolves into a dense cyberpunk thriller where themes of identity, memory and artificial intelligence take centre stage. 4. Barry (2018-2023)
