‘House of The Dragon‘ is streaming on HBO right now, and guess what, it is already up for season 2. The show got its renewal less than a week after its premiere. After seeing the trailer, it is no surprise that the series made a new record for HBO’s biggest premiere audience for a new show. Around 10 million people watched the show on Sunday.

‘House of the Dragon‘ tells the story of House Targaryen. This series is set Set 200 years before the events of HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ series. ‘House of the Dragon’s’ lead actors include Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans.
A second season renewal for ‘House of the Dragon’ is guaranteed as Martin and co. were already talking about their Season 2 plans during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con. HBO decided to renew the show after airing just one episode showing that the company has a lot of faith in the series’s success.
“Typically speaking, I like to take an approach where we will talk about what a second season might look like and talk about scripts. But we tend to like to see how a show performs,” said HBO’s content chief, Casey Bloys in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
“That said, if I were betting, I’d say there’s a pretty good shot that House of the Dragon will get a season two. But we tend to like things to air and give it some time. That said, on most shows, we’ll do the preparation and put ourselves in a good position to move forward,” he further added.
