A disloyal relationship leads to yet another divorce. A 45-year-old Chinese man is seeking a divorce from his wife of 16 years after he received the biggest shock of his life. A man named Chen from Jiangxi Province in eastern China found out that all three of the children he raised are not his biologically. His wife’s name is Yu.
Chen was working in another city to support his family. He and his wife used to talk over calls on a regular basis. But gradually, the connection between them faded and the frequency of their conversations also decreased. Yu was accused to be the sole reason behind it as she was the one who started avoiding her husband in the first place. Not only that, but she also explained that she wanted to work away from home, reported South China Morning Post.
Chinese Man Seeks Divorce As He Finds Out His Wife Cheated On Him
The abrupt change in the behavior of his wife Yu compelled Chen to develop suspicions regarding her loyalty. On March 1, Chen managed to track Yu to a hotel in eastern China. She was checking out with another man from a hotel and he witnessed it all. The man still chose to forgive his wife, but later, he decided to do a paternity test. Little did he know that the paternity test was going to destroy everything. The result clearly proved that all three of the children he thought he shared with his wife and raised, were not his own children.
“None of them [are] my own child,” Chen told Jiangxi Radio and TV Station. After the big revelation, Yu went untraceable. Chen is now trying to track her down by reaching local media outlets. A TV station managed to contact Yu over the phone, and when asked about the situation, she responded that she did not cheat on her husband and that biological paternity is not important. Yu also criticized her husband for seeking a divorce.
His Wife Compares Him To An Animal For Disowning The Kids
“Couples who are sterile adopt kids all the time,” Yu told the news outlet. “Please try to empathize with me. The three children called him ‘dad’ for many years, but now he says the daughters are not his own. What is the difference between him and an animal?” A lawyer told Jiangxi Radio and TV Station that Chen is fully capable of divorcing Yu if he believes that her actions “severely harmed their relationship.”
“When he applies for a divorce, not only would the law encourage him to ask his wife to reimburse support payments and other expenses he paid for the three children, but he could also seek damages for psychological suffering,” the lawyer was quoted as saying by the news outlet.
