    ‘City Hunter’ is an anime from the 1990s. It has old-school animation that makes fans quite nostalgic and has a great plot. The story follows Ryo Saeba who is a city hunter and helps in ridding Tokyo of crime. One day Ryo’s partner gets murdered and he has to take care of the partner’s little sister, Kaori. The anime follows their journey as they solve crimes as a team and their romance.

    ‘Mushibugyo’ is an anime that follows the story of Jinbei. It is set in a dystopian world where humanity is terrorized by giant bugs. To combat the said bugs, the Shogun introduced an insect magistrate or the Mushibugyo. Jinbei joins the Mushibugyo to appease his father. There he meets many people and secrets about his past life are also revealed.

    This anime is also set in a dystopian world where magic is quite common. Multiple schools train students to use their magic efficiently. The story is centered around two siblings, Shiba Tatsuya, and Miyuki Shiba. Both the siblings get enrolled in the same magic high school. However, whilst Miyuki is a prodigy when it comes to using magic, Tatsuya is lousy at it. The story follows their journey. Tatsuya’s secrets also get revealed.

    ‘K’ is a beautiful anime in terms of character design and animation. The anime is set in a world where there are seven kings at a given time and most of the kings have clansmen. The story follows Yashiro Isana who is an ordinary student. One day his life is turned upside down when he is accused of murdering the red king. The red king’s clansmen seek him out to murder him.

    ‘Ranma ½’ is a classic slice-of-life anime. Similar to ‘City Hunter’, the anime also has old-school animation. It centers around a guy named Ranma Saotome who is a great martial artist. Whilst he was training in China near some hot springs with his father, he fell into one of them. Due to falling into the hot springs, he is cursed that he will turn into a girl when he is sprayed with water. He will turn back when someone throws hot water at him.

    ‘Twin Star Exorcists’ is an anime that is centered around two people, Benio and Rokuro. The two of them are exorcists who battle Kegare or impurities that harm normal humans. Their life however gets turned upside down when they find out that they are the twin Star exorcists and that their child will be the end of the Kegare. The anime is amazing and this is why it is one of the forgotten anime that one should revisit.

    ‘D.Gray Man’ is a wonderful shonen anime. Although it is quite uneventful in the first few episodes, it gets really interesting and attention-grabbing as the series progresses. Alan Walker is the protagonist of the story. He is a new addition to the Black order which fights the millenium Earl. The anime is wonderful and is one of the forgotten anime that one should revisit.

    ‘Darker Than Black’ has a wonderful storyline and a unique shonen protagonist. The story is set in a world where two gates are dropped, the hell’s gate in Japan and the heaven’s gate in South America. The story follows Hei who is a contractor that works for the syndicate. Hei works to uncover the truth about his true mission and his past life. This anime is wonderful and deserves a re-watch. 

    2) Kekkaishi

    ‘Kekkaishi’ is an old anime that was released in the 2000s. The anime features a protagonist who is unaware of his skills and finds out his true potential as the series progresses. It follows the story of Yoshimori who is part of one of the two families that protect the mysterious artifact underneath their school. The anime is truly amazing and is quite underrated. It is most definitely a forgotten anime that one should revisit. 

    1) Yu Yu Hakusho

    ‘Yu Yu Hakusho’ is written by Yoshihiro Togashi, the same mangaka who wrote ‘Hunter X Hunter’. The anime is also a shonen anime and is very good. It follows the story of a fourteen-year-old boy, Yusuke Urameshi as he gains powers and fights demons. The demons get stronger as the series goes on. The truth about Yusuke is also revealed.
