Who is Eren Yeager?
Eren Yeager is a former member of the survey corps of Paradis Island. He is also the main protagonist of ‘Attack On Titan’. Eren Yeager used to live in the Shinganshina district until the wall maria fell when the armor titan attacked it. It was during this attack that Eren witnessed his mother get eaten by titans and ultimately die. This is what led to his extreme hatred toward the titans.
Soon after his mother’s demise, Eren was found by his father Grisha Yeager who gave him the key to his basement giving instructions to retake wall maria. At that time Eren was injected with the titan serum and he inherited the attack titan.
At first, Eren’s goal was to eliminate all the titans in Paradis Island. He wanted to make the place safe for the Eldians. He wanted to see the sea with Armin. It was after he unlocked the basement of his house and regained his memories that his goal changed. He learned about the Marleyans and their hatred towards the Eldians. It was at that moment that Eren wanted to destroy his enemies so that his friends would be safe.
How Many Titans Does Eren Possess?
Eren Yeager possesses more titans than anyone else in the series. He possessed three out of nine titans by the end of the manga. The first titan that Eren manifested was the attack titan. He inherited that titan from his dad when he was injected with the titan serum and ate his father to activate his powers.
The second titan that Eren possessed that was mentioned in the manga was the founder titan. This is the strongest titan in history, and not in terms of combat power but for the control, it has over the other titans. It is the holder of the founding titan that can start the rumbling. He learned about the true powers of the titans and the history as well as the future of the Marleyans and Eldians when he kissed Historia’s hand after the retaking of wall maria.
He got his third and last titan through Lara Tybur, the wife of the head of the Tybur family. He fought against Lara Tybur with his titan. Lara encased herself in a shell similar to what Annie did and Eren was unable to even put a dent in the surface. It was by using the jaw titan that he was able to kill Lara Tybur and consume her to get the titan. This is how Eren got the three titans he possessed by the end of the anime.
