The plot of the anime is as follows. Kikuru Madan, who is an extremely skilled hunter, wishes to retire and enjoy the rest of his youth in peace. After fighting many demons and going on various quests, he wishes to take it easy and enjoy himself. His plans are however ruined when he is coerced into framing up Hitamu Kyan who is a new martial artist.
The guild receptionist convinces him to form a team with her and fight different monsters. Even that plan of his fails when he finds out that not only is Hitamu bad at fighting, but she also attracts demons. He gets even further from his retirement plans when more members join the two of them.
