‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ proves its immense popularity and becomes the most popular anime series of 2023 in the Guinness World Records. With the growing popularity of Anime and a lot of competition, taking the first spot is rather impressive. By taking the title of the most popular anime series it dethroned ‘Attack On Titan’ which held the title for the past few years.
In addition to the world record, the series bagged several other awards at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024. Alongside winning the Anime of the Year 2024 for ‘Jujutsu Kaisen‘ season 2, the anime won the awards for best action, best character design, best director, and best cinematography. It also won the best ending and opening sequence awards.
All in all, it won a total of 10 awards further establishing its popularity and greatness. So, it was not surprising that it was the most viewed anime in 2023 despite there being anime veterans like ‘One Piece‘ and ‘AOT’.
Additionally, according to Parrot Analytics, the show is most viewed by its intended young audience. The Gen Z viewers contribute to over 71.3% of its audience. It was revealed that after season 2’s release, there was a huge surgery in viewers leading to its rise to the top.

What Is ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ About?
The first season of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ followed the story of Yuji Itadori, a high school student who becomes involved in the world of jujutsu after ingesting a cursed finger. He joins a secret organization of jujutsu sorcerers to fight curses and protect humanity from supernatural threats.
Moreover, Season 2 of the series was concluded by December 2023 and Season 3 is on the way. Despite there being no confirmation the third season’s release is highly unlikely before 2025.
