‘Kaichou Wa Maid-Sama’: Is Usui Takumi A Prince?

A high school anime called ‘Kaichou wa maid-sama‘ is a romance-comedy. Hiro Fujiwara writes it. The manga got its anime adaptation in 2010. Fans have been waiting for the second season of the anime but they have no positive news as of now.

The popularity of the anime is moderate but not as great as it should be. We think the anime needs more publicity than it already receives. Despite being a romantic comedy anime, it also addresses some serious subjects. They convey the gravity of the situation without detracting from the mood.

Who Is Usui Takumi?

Usui Takumi is ‘Kaichou Wa Maid Sama’‘s primary character and the love interest of Misaki Ayuzawa, the female protagonist. Usui is extremely talented in everything and makes everything look effortless. Appearance-wise Usui is highly attractive. He has green eyes and blond hair. And as has been shown in the anime, he also has a very athletic body and is the most athletic guy in Seika high school. In his high school, he is revered as somewhat of a god and is liked by girls and guys alike.

It may look that Usui is cold and uncaring but that is not entirely true. He is extremely kind and considerate of the few people he cares about. He may have a weird way of showing it, but he does care. One instance would be his dressing up as a prince to help his classmate.

Usui is a member of a very noble and wealthy family in Britain but that fact is hidden from the rest of the world. The reason why Usui’s relation to the family is hidden is that he is an illegitimate child. His real last name is Walker.

The illegitimate child of English-Japanese woman Patricia Walker and her butler Yu Hirose, Takumi was born on April 27. Patricia had a son with her first husband and was already married, but she fell in love with her butler. She fled to Japan to hide after becoming unwell and learning she was expecting Yu’s child. Takumi’s mother passed away while she was pregnant, and his father was expelled from the Walker Family and disappeared.

He was adopted by his mother’s sister and her husband. He had little to no contact with his half-brother, Gerald. His grandfather was very angry with his daughter’s actions and hid Usui’s existence and got him home-schooled. Usui received lessons in Taekwondo, Judo, and other arts as well. With the approval of his adoptive father and English grandfather and after explaining that Seika is not much of a quality school, Takumi decided to enroll in Seika High School after becoming tired of homeschooling.

This is why the male protagonist of Kaichou Wa Maid Sama is a prince.
