One of the most talented villainous groups in the ‘Naruto’ franchise is the mysterious Akatsuki organization. The organization was formed of ninjas who abandoned their homelands. The motivations of this group change as the story progresses, but they are almost always working counter to the goals of the heroes.
It was formed formally as a means to stop warring nations from decimating smaller communities. The Akatsuki became an antagonist force after its leader grew to believe that the only way to stop this destruction is by ruling over humanity. Even with its relatively small numbers, the Akatsuki is one of the strongest groups in all of ‘Naruto‘.

Who Founded The Infamous Organization?
Akatsuki was a group of shinobi that existed outside the usual system of hidden villages. Over the course of several decades, Akatsuki took different forms and was led by different individuals. Though each iteration is viewed as either subversives or criminals, all seek to make the world a better place through their own means. Each Akatsuki tended to have multiple lairs across the world, inaccessible either due to their remoteness or the various security measures that protected them.
Akatsuki was originally founded by Yahiko during the Third Shinobi World War alongside his childhood friends, Nagato and Konan. However, the initial concept of Akatsuki was devised by Black Zetsu. It was part of his plan to revive his mother, though he pretended the idea came from Madara Uchiha. He tricked Madara into thinking that it was a manifestation of his will.

Why Akatsuki Was Formed?
The Akatsuki was formed by a powerful fighter named Yahiko who was tired of seeing his country ravaged by the world’s conflicts. Like Naruto, he was an orphan, his parents were the casualties of the Second Shinobi World War. Alongside other orphans of that conflict, he founded the splinter group as a means to end the violent spasms that wracked the world.
Yahiko’s time as leader came to an end. Following this, others stepped up to head the Akatsuki according to their own desires. Some leaders attempted to end the wars by economically undermining countries, so that they could not afford to create conflict. Others attempted to unite the nations of the world through conquest. The end goal was always the same: ending world wars.
