Kidd was surprised that Killer wanted to go after him. Kidd didn’t want them to go after him as they did not possess any leads. Luffy was the one who openly asked about this mysterious figure. His question was not answered, but based on the reactions of both Kidd and Killer to his name, the man seems to be important. Many fans speculate that this man may be important in Luffy’s quest to find the One Piece treasure. The man is said to have scars on his face as if he was burned by something.
Who Is The Man Marked By The Flames?
The man marked by the flames was introduced quite recently in the manga. Unfortunately for the fans, it hasn’t yet been revealed who this mysterious figure is, but fans are speculating about the most likely candidates for this mystery figure. Fans believe that it is the most obvious guess, but at the same time, it is the most plausible one. The most likely guess by the fans is Monkey D. Dragon.
Monkey D. Dragon is Luffy’s father and is a great pirate. Dragon is considered to be one of the greatest enemies of the world government and he wishes to overthrow them. This alone is not enough of a reason for fans to consider him the man marked by the flames. However, according to a conversation between Blackbeard pirates and Aokiji, it was revealed that the man marked by the flames can create storms, most likely through a devil fruit.
This coincides with the fact that Dragon saved Luffy with a sudden storm approaching them. The man marked by the flames’ ship is also said to be pitch black, which is another similarity he shares with Dragon. Therefore, whilst it is not revealed who exactly this character is, Dragon is the most likely candidate.
